Re: Introduction, and in a need of assistance plz
Yeah. The photos look good, but the details of the sale seem iffy. In reality a QUALITY student flute will cost you between $800-1100USD. That's the truth. Anything less is likely used and in dire need of service, or it is sub-standard Learning a classical musical instrument is not a cheap endeavor...

Re: Introduction, and in a need of assistance plz
Wait, they're even counterfeiting flutes? I mean, they're not Gucci bags or German car parts, I don't think copying Yamaha instruments is the most rentable endeavour out there... But it looks like I'm mistaken. Anyways, thanks for the tip, my teacher recommended me to get a Yamaha flute if I want to...

Re: Curious about Skype Lessons
Sure, but then it's limitating nonetheless: it requires both the one giving and the one receiving the lesson to have an excellent connection, which isn't necessarily a given for everyone.
But if both have good hardware - and if the teacher has a good microphone - then, why not?

Re: Curious about Skype Lessons
Eh, I use Skype a lot to talk to my family abroad, and it's the main professionnal tool of my wife who teaches French using it. I wouldn't really trust Skype-based flute lessons, unless the teacher has an awesome mic and an excellent Internet connection: it's sometimes hard to hear the correct way t...
