I don't remember where, but I heard a sound sample of a contrabass flute playin the Pink Panther theme song. Talk about AWESOME! The music was awesome, and (if I remember correctly), it was taller than the person playing it!!! :P

A while back there was a thread on a topic such as this.

Using the plastic covers, practice with one out, until you get used to it. After that, practice with 2 out, then 3, and so on.

That is what I remember from the previous thread. Hope it helps! :)

Bladibla-

I'm sorry if I have been sounding rude and argumentative the past few posts. I'm not trying to be, but I'm sorry if I have been coming across that way.

I think that for the most part, when people hear "flute," they think of what most flute players in band play, which is the straight line, not with the curved head.

Different, as in that is not what people expect when they hear the term "flute." But, everybody's got their own tastes. :P

Hi there, Mozart! How long have you played the flute? Do you play any other instruments?

I think your talking about school band, and I've been through that experience as well. I'm just happy when we play a slow song, and all the drums consists of is a triangle :P ! The band I'm in usually doesn't have that problem, with the exceptions of bass drum and timpani somtimes.

Tap your foot every time that you practice. If done enough, tapping will eventually become a habit.

Let's see... I guess my dream flute would be a concert flute made of very nice, rich, dark wood, with pure silver keys, and the most full, awesome tone quality everytime I picked it up! One can only dream........
