Since we're on my favourite topic of low notes, i shall continue from here. Low notes have been a big problem of mine since day one. I hold long notes for them everyday, and they're pretty loud now, except the tone sounds raw? I've tried experimenting different tones but I can't seem to copy the ton...

low notes and tone
Hey everyone it's me again. I just wanna ask how to improve tone, especially those low notes. I've tried many tone studies and even long notes, but the improvement in tone is almost negligible. And also, when I finally get a fairly strong tone on the low notes, my volume becomes real soft. I do use ...

How long have you been playing? What model flute do you own? Is the pitch generally sharp? How sharp? When you use less air, are you going flat? I've been playing for 2years. I've been playing a Yamaha 684H [bfoot, inline g] for a year now. Im generally around 5-10cents sharp for high notes, and ye...

High notes problem
Hey guys I need your help! I can reach all my high notes quite easily and they don't sound airy, however from high G upwards my high notes tone becomes very shrill and screamy, and perhaps too loud. It gets on lots of people's nerves, especially my neighbours =S Most importantly, how do I make my hi...

I read from some method book when that happens means you've overpractised, and it may be a good thing, because it indicates you are strengthening the muscles used for your embouchure. Oh and the same method book suggests "buzzing" like how brass players do when taking a break to relax your muscles =)

Sing-flute
Hey guys I found this weird sounding flute here: http://www.colleges.org/~music/modules/ ... /sing.html. I didn't know electric flutes existed! Hmm, cool effect though. =D

Low notes!
Hey guys, I love the low notes on the flute, I think they sound uber cool, but I can't produce a nice warm tone on low notes! I think I've got the air for support, but somehow all the air doesnt seem to go into the tone hole. I assume it must be my braces affecting my embouchure again, but is there ...
