Private Teachers

Hello, I have been playing flute in my school band for about 3 years... I think I am advanced enough to need a private teacher. Does anyone know of any good ones in the North Texas area?

Oh. I thought it was to make C3 less sharp. I always have trouble getting my pinkie from it to the normal key, so I usually don't use it.

In several places it's C# before and low F# afterwards. On one time it's D before and E afterwards. The other time, it's C# before and E afterwards.

Allegro Vivo by Gariboldi

Hi. I am trying to play a difficult piece called Allegro Vivo which is the audition material for all-state band competition. It's very fast and has a lot of jumps to high F sharp. Has anyone played this that can give me some tips on how to play it better?

What if you don't have a tuner? I don't have one. I have a piano, but it is difficult for me to hear both the note of the piano and the note of my flute. Besides, I'm not all that sure that my piano's in tune. Is it absolutely necessary to have a tuner for when I am just practicing at home?

Continuity

Sometimes when I practice something until I get it perfect, then when I go back and practice it again a day or two later, I can't do it anymore and I have to practice it again a bunch of times to get it back. I especially have problems with this on jumps to high notes. Can anyone help me with this p...
