I am a flute teacher and I have several intermediate kids on both Pearl and Aprenti...I love the Aprenti...yes, it's the JR Altus line. LOL!!! It's amazing how different we all are...I personally am not a huge Yamaha fan, the ones that my kids bring in (the new ones, not the older ones) play out of tune with themselves in the octaves and don't do much for me as far as sound.
