Nervousness strikes everyone, be prepared for the adrenaline rush and use it to your advantage playing. Who ever you are auditioning for is probably well aware of everyones nerves so don't worry about it. Since you know where you're aiming for and have been preparing for it, you're probably on top o...

If possible I'd go in somewhere and play different models of intermediate flutes. I don't know where you are located, but Woodwind and Brasswind (also listed on previous post as www.wwbw.com) carry alot of models at the intermediate range. Their prices are very good and they offer a trial on their i...

Thanks for the info. I have found the website, and small mentions, just not much more. I've been "researching" flutes on the web, talking to players, etc.. Though I won't buy a very expensive flute from an unknown buyer, I have seen some used Wimberly's listed for sale in various places. Her teacher...

After having the braces on for about 2 years she was very nervous about the adjustment when they were removed. It was no pro...

Wimberly professional flutes
My daughter will be attending college this fall as a music major. We will be purchasing a flute soon and she'll be trying various brands before making a purchase. Her new teacher has recommended several brands, Altus, Miyazawa, Muramatsu, etc., and suggested some to stay away from. Does anyone know ...

Gemeinhardt Piccolo
Hi, Read your question regarding which pic to go with. Just checked my daughter's case since I knew she had a Gemeinhardt. She's playing a gemeinhardt 4PSH. Plastic body with solid silver head. We got this on ebay from a college student who just upgraded to a grenadilla pic, and got a good buy. Thou...
