Adds for cell phones??

Is there anyway to block the person with all the adverts for cell phones? It is very irritating. This is a flute forum.

Also adds for other electronics. It is the same person over and over.

Yeah, I know what you mean. These spammers are real idiots. The fact that they intrude upon totally unrelated forums is like the old lipstick on a pig adage. All they do is p%^s us off and I would wager that no one on this forum would ever buy anything from them for that exact reason. They're wasting their time and ours. They think they're being smart and "getting away" with it, but they're too dumb to know any different.

The only way to stop this is for the forum administrators to institute a policy that would require newly registered posters to go through a probationary period where their first 10 or so messages are not posted until after they are passed by a moderator. I suspect that Fluteland has no interest in doing that unless most of the members protest enough to make them listen.

If I may give you a suggestion, along with advising the owner to do something about it (I did it myself recently), I'd simply ignore all these spamers. I think there is nothing more frustrating that seeing your message was not visited once.
