Question about Hoover's Winter Spirits

Can someone tell me what the slanted/horizontal line that goes through the 16th notes means? I read somewhere that if there were two lines going through the stem of the note it symbolizes double-tonguing and three lines symbolizes triple-tonguing...but what about only one line? I've listened to people playing the song, but I'm exactly sure what they're doing there.

The section that you are referring to is to be double tongued.
