Keys possibly bent

Post by shishk »

Hello,

I hadn't touched my flute in 5 years, and decided to do so today. Without giving it much thought, I assembled it by grabbing the mouthpiece with my left hand and the body with my right. I did what you should never do, grabbed the body by it's keys, and twisted the two parts together. I instantly realized my mistake and I'm now wondering, is it 100% certain that the flute is damaged/keys bent? Is it something you can check at home? If something happened, would it be an inexpensive or an expensive repair, or is it possible to repair at all?

Thank you in advance for any help.
