Fix loose screw

Post by @Danix »

Hello, one of the screws of my flute is constantly loose, if I tighten it properly as it should be, the B flat key is blocked. I wanted to know how to fix it without having to take a flute to repair.
Thank you

Well, the proper way is to take it to a repair tech. However, in an emergency, you can tighten the screw to where the key works properly and then put a drop of fingernail polish on the screw head and post. That will keep the screw from working loose but it can still be removed easily with a screwdriver. Let it dry and it should be fine until you can get it fixed by a repair tech.

Thank you very much  , I will put your advice into practice. Right now with the quarantine I did not feel like taking the flute even technical.
