Hi there,
I'm posting as I'm trying to repair my daughter's flute. We've identified that the B key doesn't close fully when she presses the A key. It looks to me as if the B key is pushed down by a small tab of metal just behind the A key near the fulcrum of the key. In principle, a small shim on top of that piece of metal would probably fix the problem, but I'm not sure if that's the right fix. It would also mean that the B key would sit slightly lower than it does now even in its open position, which may cause issues of its own.
Please could some kind person tell me the correct adjustment to make to fix the problem?
Many thanks in advance!

I am no expert on flute adjustments but sometimes a small sewing machine type screwdriver can be handy, that is if you able to find the proper adjustment screw location (F to B flat perhaps?).

Be forewarned that altering flute adjustment screws has the potential to make things worse.

Thank you so much. That video was very helpful. I had missed the little adjusting screw on the underside - tightening that fixed the problem. Wonderful!
