I never learned how to do vibrato, but love the sound of it. How
can I teach myself to do this with a good quality sound? skr

vibrato
vibrato should be very natural. this is how i learned: blow
through your flute on an easy note and in eighth notes, start pulsing your air.
you have to blow faster on every eith note. then try to speed it up. vibrato is
basically the pulsation of air through the flute.. so good luck! [::)]

My teacher has always said that my vibrato would come with
practicing my long tones correct.. and that it shouldn't be forced. When it is
forced (which is easily done).. it's usually forced using your throat.. which
isn't the true vibrato.. and you can tell after playing it awhile.. Just
practice your long tones, or whatever your teacher has provided. It should come
naturally. I've been playing for four years.. and my teacher has told me that
it is coming steadily. So it's a relief to hear that. Definetly[::)]
