Hi,
This is a bit of a strange question.
If the Mozart G and D concertos were erased from your memory, how long would it take you to master them all over again?
I'm working on them, but I suspect it could be some time before they sound amazing. Your answers might help me gauge the rate of my progression.
Thanks,
Robin

Master them? I don't think I've ever mastered them, and I have been playing them since 1970.

Well... play all the notes right and the correct tempo, even if the embellishments are lacking
I practice most days during my lunch break (have an empty entire wing of the office to myself! ) and it feels like it will be in the order of a year to get as good as potential allows. I am working on about 10 pieces at once (just so I don't get bored) which I assume is an ok number.

I agree with cflutist, mastering Mozart is a long term task. The technique is relatively easy, but Mozart's music is all about style and nuance. That's much harder to capture.
