Weird Octave Changes?

Weird Octave Changes?

I've been playing the flute for a while, but everytime I try to play a high note, it sometimes plays the lower note. For example, when I'm trying to hold a C3, it plays a C3, but then its very shaky and changes from C3 to C2.

Is this something that just started happening, or are you just starting out?
