Flute scales... friend or foe?!

Post by christielea »

Hey folks,

I'm interested to know how you make your flute scales more fun to practise and more musical (rather than boring and mechanical!) .

Now that I've educated myself on WHY they are important and the specific benefits they can bring to my playing, I'm so much more committed to spending more time on them...

Post up your methods!!

Personally, I find scales cathartic. I kinda love them. Scales are an area where you can *really* mark improvement, and everybody wants to improve, right?!? Get out the metronome and make a game out of it!
