thats very true, i used to live in canada and speak french, and the Rs are always rolled...i take french now at school and its hilarious how no one in my class can do it but me cause theyve all grown up with english and its really hard to explain but if you compare the languages when you hear french and english, the r is a big distinction...its not as apparent in the other romance languages, well from what i hear at least. its supposed to be just a french thing although if you actually speak spanish (which most students dont) with a spanish accent you use it a little. and its true that the R when you say it is supposed to come from the throat and comes out like a hoarse H (not the letter, but the sound H as in hat or heat or something) so i dunno if thatll help but its really something you need to grow up with or learn a romance language well to do...but good luck!rikk22 wrote:some people also seem to suggest to learn french

I really don't have any tips for this. I have always been to flutter tongue, and can do it both ways (rolling the tip of my tongue, and the gutteral form). I don't really know why, genetics I guess. My mother is of french descent, so I guess that is a lot of it.
