My .02 cents
JUST PLAY THE D&&N THANG
It is ok to have a difference of opinion, but it should just be left at that. Frankly, as long as you can play the piece/tune, who cares about the method. Even judges do not sit in the audience with tuners! In the end, playing quarter tones are a pretty small issue in the scheme of things.
As far as that crack about all of the "Beginners/Intermediates" on the board, that may be true. However, that is no excuse to assume that the person you are talking to is NOT a professional player. Remember, this is the internet Mathwizard. When you go for jobs/gigs, what you post can potentially come back to haunt you. Who knows, the person you are disagreeing with could be a music director at a college/group/orchestra you may be trying to get into. All the reason to keep it cool.
Discussion is always cool, but bashing is not. If you have to go there, take it to private messages PLEASE!
That is my .02 cents....Flame on!
