i have a problem.. whenever i tongue a
note (espeically fast sixteenths and such) my throat moves.i know that the
throat is supposed to move a little bit.. but not so much so the flutist can
feel it. can anyone give me any advice as to how i can reduce the movement in my
throat?? thanks

do you double or single tongue? practice
your double tonguing, going slowly. start with whole notes, then half notes,
quarter, eighth, triplets, sixteenths, etc. go slowly, then work your way up.
for double tonguing, say: duh-guh, ti-ki, ta-ka, or tu-ku. like 4 eighths would
be: ta-ka-ta-ka hope i helped!

Just try to slow it down so you are able
to control your throat/tongue movements. Practice in front of the mirror and
make sure it does not move too much. Then gradually speed it up.
