The only thing I don't like about this model is that it didn't come with the split E, which I have discovered is vital in order for me to get out a decent high E. I'll be getting an Elegante 795 Coda in a few weeks, with all of the bells & whistles, and I'll let you know how that one goes. It has the same Forza headjoint.
try playign high e without your pinky down for a flute without a split e mech.

Just be aware that high E without the pinky flattens the pitch a bit. Sometimes that's good, sometimes not. It can work well for pianissimo entrances on on high E, just be sure to listen and adjust your pitch as needed.

I was so amazed at what happened I felt I had to bump up this thread again.

I finally got in the Elegante (it took an extra month). I had been working with the Quantz 765 all this time, over a month now, still struggling with the Forza headjoint. The Elegante 795 came in on Monday; took it home Tuesday morning, and within 5 minutes I was blown away! It has the same Forza headjoint but BOY does it play differently than the other Forza headjoint! Fact-wise, I knew that there were always differences between two of the same style headjoints, but never had I experienced this much before! Right out of the case I was able to play through all octaves with ease, up and down without cracking a single note, and the octave jumps and arpeggios were completely effortless. And the TONE! The sound I am able to get out of the Elegante is pure, bright, sweet, and the high notes are absolutely fantastic! I feel like I am just holding it up and letting the music play itself! I am SOOOOO blown away and SOOOO happy! It's like this flute was designed just for me. Needless to say, it is MINE now!
