looking for second hand advanced flute

hey, im looking for a second hand advanced flute that is still in good condition. (almost new) i need an advanced flute for TEE music next year, and im up to grade 6 st. cecilia so.. im desperate here. i dnt really want to spend $10 000 on a new jupiter or anything.
price range up to $3000.

Go read the FAQ thread in the General Hangout Section.

In that price range, you would really get the most bang for your buck by getting a low end handmade flute. Even though they are classified as "low end" they are still handmade [ie. high quality], and are only considered low end because they usually only have a sterling silver headjoint with a nickel silver body/foot/keys setup. Craftmanship ALWAYS takes precedence over metal type.

Flutes in this range are: Muramatsu EX, Miyazawa 202, and a few others.... Yamaha 500-700 series/models, Sankyo has a model in this range , Altus has a model in this range.... Pearl does as well. just browse around. Then try them out. The worst thing you could do would be to buy a flute of this caliber without trying it first. Just make sure you look for at least a handcut/handcrafted headjoint. An all handmade flute would be best.
