Kessler & Sons is a pretty well known, and well liked vendor in the Saxophone world. I had the pleasure of stopping at to one of their shops in Vegas. Their flutes played OK, and would be adequate for any beginning or part time player to a point. Good value for the money. They also service what they sell, and this is another plus. Is it my favorite flute for the money, no.

Read here for more information.

The good thing is, they are a solid company with a solid reputation, and they sell other brands. I do not think you can go wrong from that stand point.

P.S. They Kessler saxes are pretty good!

Thanks for the input! also I was wondering how would this one compare to a Gemeinhardt 3shb? Which one would you choose based on tone quality, scale and craftmanship?

I really would need to understand what your goals are. Are you looking for the cheapest possible good flute, or the best instrument you can afford? Also, what price range can you spend.

The Gemeinhardt 3shb is going to be a more solid instrument, but like the headjoint on the K&S flute better. This is typical since most flute players I know dislike the Gemmy stock headjoint.

my spending range is no more than 500 and sorry I meant a 2sh because my friend is selling hers, but I don't particularly like it and I wanted a B foot joint and its for high school.

Okay so I can choose between the kessler intermediate flute or a pearl 505-525 flute. Which one would you choose?

Well, other than the material, the 505 and the 525 are virtually the same. I would probably Get the 525 just because it has a silver lip plate and riser. But I could live with either one.
