I just bought the new Burkart Global Piccolo and I have some issues tuning it. I always get the "A"s in tune, but when I finger the 3rd and 4th octives, they always come out extremly sharp, like just barley a half step sharp. I keeping pulling out the head-joint but I can never get high F#, B natural and C to be in tune. Are those notes just impossible to tune exactly

I'm not familiar with your particular piccolo, but speaking only for myself, it seems like those upper notes are just notoriously sharp and difficult to bring down. I wish I had a simple answer to it.... I guess just try whatever you need to to get it in tune! As long as you're not sacrificing the intonation of the rest of the notes.
Cheers,

Hi,
Make sure the cork is in the correct position. As you play higher notes, relax the corners of your mouth, as MOST notes are sharp (but not all!). Also, experiment with positioning the headjoint differently (roll out or in).
Usually, rolling the headjoint in will lower the pitch a bit. Good luck!
