Here are my recommendations:
~Powell Sonare line
~Yamaha intermediate flutes
~Trevor Wye
~Miyazawa 202/402/602
You need to try out a bunch and see how they play for you, everyone will sound different. what do you currently play on?

I purchased a Pearl 665 when I was ready for an intermediate flute. It's great, and the tone is beautiful. I can hit low C with no effort. I would recommend what I did before purchasing a flute. Ask the reputable dealer to order four of the same flute. They will do this right at a brick and mortar store or online. They will send you all four. You do not have to pay for all four, but you do give them your credit card number. You can try out all four flutes to see which one you like best. You will be surprised how different they can sound. Choose the one that you like best. The first chair flutist in our band gave me this advice. She has a degree in flute and has taught. Good luck!

Are you referring to concert flutes or something else? A Bansuri or some other bamboo flute perhaps? I've never heard of those flute makers, but this board focuses primarily on concert flutes.
