Japanese boehm flutes pitch

Post by Rodrigoacevedo »

Hi everybody!

I wanted to ask you about the pitch of "old" japanese flutes around 1982-1986. I have a Mateki 061 model which was built around those years (probably on 1985). The problem, surely mine, is that I get my A around 440 with the whole headjoint in. Also it is not the original headjoint but as I'm located too far away from any flute shop I can't try it with another headjoint. So, has anyone any info about these flutes? I know that the Mateki brand doesn't produce flutes anymore so its difficult to determine whether the flute is on 442 or 440. If anyone can help me I'd be very thankful!!!

Dear Rodrigoacevedo,
The information may be too late.
I have found these articles.
Why do not you inquire there?
Unfortunately, I was unable to find any articles
about Mateki Flute's new workshop in my internet search.
I think this is the only information
that I can give you an idea of what to expect.
You can ask the craftsmen of the Mateki Flute Workshop directly.
How about ?
