Martinu's First Sonata

I just began playing Martinu's First Sonata this week. I have not heard a recording of this piece yet, so i have a question... should the eighth note equal 200 bpm for the entire piece? Or should it get faster as gets toward the end? I've done a lot of practicing with the metronome and I feel like towards the end it should be going faster to keep up the momentum...
