Studying time?

Post by @Danix »

Hello, I have been playing for a year and three months right now my level is intermediate-advanced I practice 2 hours 7 days a week. I wanted to know what is the recommended time to play each day with professional aspirations? Is the hours I play okay or should I increase my study time?

At your level, two hours a day is probably good. The main thing is to gauge it by your fatigue level. Stop when your lips or fingers get tired. Actually, it's often better to work for maybe an hour, take a break for 15-30 minutes and then do another hour. You can repeat that pattern until you feel you are too tired or not as productive. If you overdo it, you can damage your hands or lips with repetitive stress injuries that can take a long time to heal. More practice is better to make progress, but let your body be your guide for when to stop.

As you build up your endurance, you can begin to increase the amount of practice time.
