Hello,
My daughter is in the process of researching and play-testing intermediate flutes and has narrowed her search to two (I think):
Trevor James Virtuoso (with Split E Mechanism and C3 Trill)
Powell Sonare 705 (with Split E Mechanism)
Does anyone have experience they can share (good and bad) with these two flures?
Many thanks.

Both of those are reputable flutes and either would be a good choice. Your best bet is to have your daughter try them both and see which one is more comfortable to her. The C# trill key is a nice option because it provides some optional fingering for various notes.

Re: Intermediate flute shopping for my daughter
Thank you. My daughter has played both and likes them very much. We're leaning toward the Trevor James Virtuoso because it offers the C# Trill with Split E mechanism within an affordable range. She would have to go up to the Powell Sonare 905 to get both of these options and is a little beyond our budget.
