Difficult passages

Post by Bo »

Is there a site with tips for difficult passages (like alternative fingerings) for awkward passages, like for example low F# to C#, so that they sound smooth? I have my own trick for this, but just so you understand what I mean...

Thanks. :)

Try http://www.wfg.woodwind.org/flute/

Not sure if that's exactly what you are looking for, but there is a section for alternate fingerings.
"Never give a flute player a screwdriver."

Thank you.

I meant something like what came up here: http://www.fluteland.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2394

Maybe there are advanced exercises that address these problems rather than a list of tips or alternate fingerings, I don't know.

It is probably also a good idea to write down a list of tips or tricks for difficult transitions that you find yourself or that you read here from time to time, which I have not done...
