What does Quasi Presto mean?

Post by nature1563 »

What does Quasi Presto mean and how many bpm is it? I know presto is very fast, something like 185 bpm, but what is Quasi Presto? Why couldn't the composer had just written Presto? Because the Quasi in front of it is meant to indicate something. What is the composer trying to indicate with "Quasi Presto"? Thanks in advance for the help!

It means Almost Presto, so just under Presto (which means very fast).
Bpm means beats per minute. You will need a metronome for that.
