i have a solo and i need ya'll help

I have a solo in a piece we are doing and my teacher has been asking me to take private lessons and my parents won't let and i don't know what to do.. Is there any tips ya'll can give me .. All the notes are B flat and below and the french horn and i think tuba are playing when i'm playing my solo so i have to play louder than them but it's after for me when there all low notes.. is there any tips ya can give me? i need your help alot

practice long tones (hold each note for at least 10 seconds without letting the pitch drop).

Also, use a tuner!!! Make sure there's enough air going into the instrument. You can't be shy when playing low notes if you want ot be heard! Your embouchure should be relatively tight in the low register ("smile"), directing the air into the tube, not across it. Developing the low register takes time, so practice a lot and don't get discouraged. Good luck!!

On the contrary, I find it more helpful to have a looser embouchure in the lower register. The air isn't moving as fast as in the higher register, where you really need to concentrate your airstream. But maybe that's just me.
