Besides the flute, does anyone play any other instrument?

Just curious. :P

Yup...I play clarinet and oboe at a decent high school level, and a little guitar. I've also been learning piano this semester, so I suppose I can add that onto the list now.

I always wanted to play clarinet/oboe at first but my mom said "No, I don't want you to."

I play piano. I've played for about 7~8 years and I don't know which one I like better (piano or flute)...

I play the harp, and like flutepicc, I have been learning piano lately [music major requirement], so I can say I play piano as well.

Both are a lot of fun, and I cant decide which one I like better. Harp is much more mellow, but it is easier to make key changes on piano [ you dont have to manuever levers on the strings]. But, harp fits my hands better. So, I guess I like them both equally even though I am a much better harpist than a pianist [although that will probably change soon because I seem to be learning quickly].

I also play a few simple system flutes [ irish tin whistle, soprano and alto recorder, fife, native american flutes etc], so I dont know if they really count because they are 'flutes'. But, I dont really play them that often, just when I am home, and want to play something besides my flute [standard concert flute] or piccolo.

AH, the recorder. I used to have one, but my brother apparently chucked it at some random place.

I also play the recorder (sopranino to tenor -- still saving up for a bass). I'm pretty good at the C recorders (soprano and tenor), but not so good at the F recorders (sopranino and alto) because I'm still not used to transposing the music (which unfortunately is all written in C!).

I have a fife and a Native American flute, but I don't play them often enough to remember more than one octave of fingerings.

I would like to purchase an Irish flute (in D), but that will have to wait, too.

I took piano lessons when I was young, but I only got to the beginner's level. I can play most of the music for 'easy piano' with some practice.

My main instruments are Guitar and Flute. Since I went to a conservatory for entry level Arranging/Composing and Orchestration, I also play some piano, and dabble on others.

Like Fluteguy18, I also play harp and piano. I definitely like harp more because my handspan isn't all that great for chords on piano. But yeah, lever changes are a pain! I do play some violin and guitar, but I don't consider myself concert level on those instruments at all. Oboe, I did try (anyone want to buy a beautiful full conservatory buffet from me?? I'm trying to sell it) but it was a very difficult instrument for me and I gave up.

I am a lot better on flute though.

I currently play Alto Sax, piano, flute/picc, and a little clarinet. I can also play a little trumpet. Plus the Bass and Alto flutes. I get around with the instruments... :-D But nonetheless, woodwinds are my favorite, especially the different flutes.

I also play the piano and guitar. I used to be really good at piano, in fact I've been playing for about 15 years, but the last couple of years my skill has fallen off quite a bit because I've been focusing most of my time on the flute. It makes me sad, because I wish I could still play the way I used to, but I since I started university I haven't had the time to keep up with it. Besides, all I have is a keyboard out here with me, and it doesn't really have enough keys to play the rep I'm used to playing.

I too have picked up a variety of instruments. I play the alto/tenor sax, guitar, bass/alto/regular flute and piccolo, piano, and harmonica. Learning a variety of instruments is quite challenging but is a great feeling once you can actually play them. I learned the sax this year due to the fact that we had a shortage of them in jazz band. Me being who I am, I jumped and said that I'd do it. Its a great gift to be able to play so many instruments.
