I think that Harmonics are a great
exercise to work on tone. It makes you think about your embochure as well as
where your toungue is in your mouth. Kim

Trevor Wye lessons book #1 Tone is the
current hot book teachers are recommending. Do you have a private teacher? I've
been told the old standby Marcel Moyse' the Sonorite is really good for tone.
Take a tuner and play a first register note and crescendo hold and decrscendo.
Keeping tone the same. Reverse for 3rd register note. Those are some tone
improvement suggestions I have heard

how can I improve my tone???
It is when you for example finger a low C
but you overblow to hit C2 and then G2 and C3 and then E3 and then G3 without
changing the fingering from low C. You are just basically changing the pitch
without changing the fingering.My daughters teacher has her do these as quietly
as possible. Kim
