stolen muramatsu sold by sam ash in Orlando

Post by stolenmatsu »

My prized twenty five year old Muramatsu heavy walled flute, which I played in several Navy Bands and as a student at Berklee was taken from my home by an ex girlfriend. She took the instrument to Sam Ash Music in Orlando and told them I had died, she also sold my Selmer Mark VI tenor as well. I was only supposed to be gone from my home for four days, and as it turned out, circumstances kept me away for over a year. I did not find out the instruments were gone until eight or nine months later.

The people who have purchased the instrument from Sam Ash are aware that they actually purchased a stolen instrument. However, the law of bonafide purchase gives them the right to ownership.

I am going to visit as many flute and saxophone sites as I can, in hopes that the people who have my instruments will do the decent thing, and give me my instruments. It would be very simple for Sam Ash to refund their money, or find them another instrument.

Flute was my main instrument for many years. I have a condition called dystonia that causes the nerves in my right hand to misfire, making playing professionally impossible. I will visit these sites often and learn more about an instrument I love, and to offer what ever I can to help someone become a better player.

Welcome to fluteland hope you enjoy your stay here. That sucks about your GF taking your flutes, can't you have her prosicuted and made to pay back the RRP price for your loss. Hope you do find them again.

I am very sorry to hear about your flutes.

I would have her arrested and prosecuted for taking your flutes.

I wish that I had some good advice to offer.

I hope that you find your flutes or get money to buy new ones.

There is currently a warrant out for her arrest.

Appreciate your concern and good wishes. If any one knows any one in the central Florida area who purchased a Muramatsu from Sam Ash in the last year or so, let me know

ditto, I would die if I lost my flutes. One time I misplaced my flute and couldn't find it for 3 hours. I wanted to die :(

I hope your efforts turn out successfully! GOOD LUCK AND GOOD VIBES!
