Has anyone seen any of the instruments made out of vegetables? It's crazy! An ocarina out of broccoli and a mushroom, panpipes made out of carrots...
So the real question is: if I wanted a really sweet sounding flute, would I make it out of sugar cane?

LOL!! Good one.
I first heard about it a year or so ago. The Vienna Vegatable Orchestra performs concerts and makes high art out of food...

And some the names of the instruments sound so much more impressive in German:
karottenflöte = carrot recorder
gurkophon = cucumberphone
paprikatröte = pepper trumpet

i have a friend making and inventing crazy instruments from the vegetables growing in his garden. All instruments are home-made.

I find it quite ingenious, after all, it shows how innovative we are. It shows that if all the musical instrument companies were to shut down, we could invent some way of making music. On the other hand, I find it funny as well.
