i joined this discussion board because i wanted to hear
other flute player''s opinions, questions, and thoughts. i didn''t join
though to have somewhat sarcastic comments made toward me or other people like i
have no idea what i''m talking about. i consider myself to be pretty qualified
in giving advice and answering questions in regards to the flute. and sometimes
i feel like i''ve been talked down to like i know nothing. i feel like i''m
a musician through and through and really don''t know my life without music,
i''ve been involved in some sort of musical activity for 16 years. i hate to
point fingers, but penny, if you read this, sometimes i feel like you''re just
on a soap box preaching to all of us "little" people that don''t know a thing
about flute. but i think there''s a lot more people here who know more about
flute than you think. and it makes me a little upset for you to make such strong
proclomations about your opinions with little methods of backing them up.
you''re kinda like a flute bully [:((] and this page shouldn''t be about
that, it should be about being able to discuss things in a nice way and helping
each other out kindly.

Courtney, Before anything, we wish to thank you far
all the great contributions that you have made to this board. Your help has been
tremenduous and you have given great advice to many flutists. We just want you
to know that we appreciate that greatly. In regards to Penny, we mentioned
already that this board should be, as you say, a friendly place about flute
related topics. We hope that Penny and others will respect our recent posts to
keep this in mind and to keep this board free of any personal insults and
conflicts. We would really like to avoid having to ban somebody from the board
(and it has not happened yet from the start of this board). To Everybody, Please
respect each other's opinions, without sarcasm and insults, and try to help
each other become better flutists and musicians. All the best.

I simply share information and opinions, nothing more.
In doing so I have been insulted, attacked, lied about and told I know nothing
without support from the administration, not complaint to them from me. My words
have been twisted and imaginery opinions inserted when nothing of the kind was
in my post. I suggest we all address the topic and not each others views. I
admit that the constant attacks on me for trying to be helpful have made my
words a bit defensive. I will redouble my efforts to turn the other cheek when
attacked.

To the Moderators~ I have heard Penny make similar
statements more than once. It typically happens when posters tire of being
insulted and they finally react. I am leaving this board because I feel as a
community we have tolerated more insults than we should and it shows no signs of
ending. I predicted this recent mess and I was correct in my prediction. To my
fellow flute players~ I wish you the best of luck in your flute playing and
learning. I have enjoyed posting with all of you and I wish you much success and

FluteloversMom for whatever reasons, probably because
we had different opinions on a subject, has chosen to attack me constantly and
knock my knowledge. I have not done anything negative to her in return. I will
be the one leaving as I spend all of my time here helping others and defending
my opinions, not as to their accuracy but to snippy personal attacks. I don't
gain anything from wasting my time in that fashion.

that didnt take long? If you dont find the post about people that are
mathmatical etc arent creative then you have a real problem and I feel real
sorry for you little girl, Iam sure she the number one chair for reasons "mommy
dearest" in 6 years working for Department of social services here in ithaca I
can confidently say your in for it when she becomes an adult. See Yaa

I'm sad to say that that's a relief but it is. Penny
was real nice to me the first few times I posted then she started getting all
sarcastic. i was fine with it for a while but then it got to where I couldn't
handle it anymore. I tried to be patient but even the most patient person has
their limits. Admin, thanks a million!!![:bigsmile:]

Thank Goodness those two witches left. They just
couldn't stop fighting with each other. If one was being nice the other would
be mean and vice versa. This place will be much better off with them gone and
nice people like Willi and patient people like FluteGirl 03

place wasn't big enough for two know it all Moms. Probably why the two of you

from a know it all that is why I am here with the rest of you. I did play the
flute starting in 4th grade until I graduated but just picked it up about 6th
months ago...so I am relearning lots of things:) Penny did not play the flute.
