I might suggest Band In A Box along with the zip file that has all the jazz standards. (Or, just type in the chords from your Real Books or elsewhere). You can record yourselve against a reasonable-sounding backup. If you can't find a certain song, look on the web for a .midi version and import that into Band In A Box. Also, get a copy of Sibelius and compose your own songs, even based on existing chord progressions (I Got Rhythm, etc.). Also, do some research on YouTube, look at Robert Dick's extended methods (multiphonics, etc.), listen to Ray Pizzi play Greensleeves

or even this fella, playing various things:

Practice everything around the cycle (of 4ths or 5ths) - especially your blues scales (based on minor pentatonics). Learn all your pentatonic scales (major and minor). Jazz is mostly music theory carried around in your head, not reading from paper. So, get good at music theory. Get Mark Levine's Jazz Theory book. Plonk around on the piano to solidify those ideas (melodic minor scales, etc.).
