FINALLY!!!

I''m sooooooooo happy!!! Thank you Jesus!!! I got a flute
book today, it''s a beginner''s solo book and it''s so kewl!!! I can''t
believe how good the Lord is to have allowed me to purchase one for so little
$$$, ykwim? I''ve been working on one piece for about 20 minutes and now my
left shoulder is killin! That''s the only thing i don''t like about playing
flute, it hurts my shoulder.

Congratulations on getting your new book. I bet your having
a blast playing some songs now. I just love the excitement I can hear in some of
your posts. I can really tell that you are enjoying your flute. About the issue
of your shoulder killing you after practicing for 20 minutes...I don't really
think that 20 minutes of practice should cause your shoulder to hurt so much. I
was thinking that maybe you should try some different positions of how you are
holding your flute to see if that helps. Since you don't have a teacher or
experienced flute teacher to guide you...you may be holding it incorrectly which
could be causing you this pain. Kim

Yes, I am really enjoying my flute although I'm afraid I
can't say the same for the rest of my family. [:p] Um, i thought it (my
shoulder pain) might be caused by holding it wrong. I think i figured it out,
how to hold it right that is. I really hope that I'll be able to practice more
than I have been, with school starting this week and my mom having a million
places to go I've had a lot of baby sitting and school work to do. Oh well,
i'm still able to squeeze a few minutes of practice in each day. Thanks so much
for all of your advice!!!

Flute_girl, which book did your end up getting? Any practice
you can do will help but it is hard not being able to play and really want to. I
had to start back to work after a 2 week vacation and I'd rather practice.

I got the "Solo Sounds for flute". They're really easy,
most of them are anywho, but I really need to get a lesson book that teaches how
to play the flute properly.

At least you can now have some thing to start on. You'll
get the instruction book when it's time. I'm waiting on getting a book of fun
easy songs. Hopefully next week it'll be delivered to the store. Have fun with
your book.

Thanks for your replies! I love getting new music to
play!!!! I think new songs are always fun to play although they sound better
after i've played them a few times. Jessica and Sarah, that's so cool that you
know the Lord! Isn't He wonderful?![:)]
