Re: Anyone going to NFA in Las Vegas?!
I asked today and I'm free Thursday or Saturday. Wednesday is stuff with Altus, and then Friday is Miyazawa. I have been so busy packing for the show that I haven't even started to think about packing what I will need to take.

Great !!!
So why don't you join us on Thursday at Cypress Street Marketplace at 6:30. We can then decide if we want to meet again on Saturday.

Unfortunately, my scheduled appointments won't allow dinner, but you can usually find us after hours chatting over adult beverages. Perhaps I can meet with you all after dinner somewhere..

I'll look forward to seeing my Fluteland forum friends. In a concert, seminar, booth, dinner, or wherever we meet.

Did we also want to meet after the nightly concert (8 - 10 pm) one night?

Sure. Maybe we could even sit together as a group for one or two of them.

pp,
That is a great idea. Let's talk about it at dinner.

You all have fun there, sorry I'm missing this one. I had a blast at New York and Charlotte!
I learned from the one in New York City that I needed to bring my Alto, and so I was one of the Altos for the Charlotte opening festivities. Cheers to the "plumbing section" as Sir Galway designated it!

Had a great time meeting pied-piper and fluteguy18 for dinner. Also got to meet and talk to Joe and play some Pearl flutes.

So did you all get to meet up? So sorry I was unable to come this year. I was planning to, but then work and other stuff got in the way. Will try again next year, and hopefully some of you will be there so we can have a Fluteland Board get-together. I've met Fluteguy before, and CFlutist has been a long-time email/board friend. Hope to meet more of you!

SK, sorry to have missed you this year.
I DID notice the Memorial Fund that underwrote Amy Porter's performance of Trail of Tears. That would have
been really special for you to be in attendance to hear her wonderful performance ... brought tears to my eyes.

It was great to finally meet cflutist and fg18. We had a nice dinner together on Thursday. I hope we can do this again at future NFA events.
The sessions were interesting and very informative. Plus, the concerto concert on Sat night was WONDERFUL!

I hated missing it, CFlute; particularly Amy's performance. I have heard her play that piece before. She texted me the next morning to tell me how well it went. She really lives that piece and it is very powerful music. My mother was smiling down on her, I'm sure. We were so pleased to help make that happen. I'm hoping to get a program so that I can see my mother's name in there.

I FINALLY got back last night and we unloaded the truck stupid early this morning because there was a lightning storm last night. The exhibit hall had less vendors than usual but it was still a good show I think! It was fun meeting you all!

Dear listers,
I could not attend to NFA this year (never did before, actually), but this one has a special meaning to me.
Mr. Nagahara finally received my first payment for my new Nagahara Flute, which will be finished by december.
He also now have my current Nagahara Headjoint to have it revised and fit to the new flute body.
I'll go to the USA to pick it up, just that I don't know exactly when.
Best regards,
Zevang
