Low C Flute

Post by fluting4ever »

Hi, I had a question. Recently, I've realized that after I practice for a while (over an hour, and i play the low C, the sound doesn't come out.) I can play the harmonics with the fingering as well as every other note but the Low C and consequently, the low B as well. I don't think it's a leak or pad problem since the other notes work and the harmonics can be played with the fingering. So, I don't know what's wrong with it. I can play the notes when I warm up but then when I try to play it again, after practicing for a few hours, I can't play the C and B anymore. Does anyone know what to do?

IMHO, it's just embouchure fatigue. When it happens to you, after some time of practice, try to relax and focus the airstream. When you get tired the muscles loose a bit of the control you have when you begin practice.
