I recently fell down and sprained my wrist
yesterday[:((] If that''s not bad enough, I just recently got an open hole
flute and a new piccolo that I really like, but can''t play with a brace on my
wrist[:blackeye:] What am I going to do? I can play my closed hole, but I want
to play my open hole.[:(] Does any one have any advice on how I can play my new
flute and piccolo while wearing my brace? I also have a performance test in my
school lessons in two days! What should I do? Thank you for your advice, I
really appreciate it[]

How long till you get the brace off? I would
reccomend plugging the holes so you can still learn to play and adjust to the
sound of your new flute. You never said if you could play your piccolo, can
you?

Well...here it would seem as though you're
physically unable to play your flute. I would try to stay off of it as much as
possible and let your wrist heal because if you play your flute, you risk
putting more strain on your wrist and having to keep the brace on even
longer.
