Azumi AZ3SRBEO-C, opinions, comparable models?

I want to get an intermediate flute for my daughter and she liked the Azumi AZ3 model among the other models she tried. Any opinions on this model? Are there comparable models in the same $2600 price range? Also I live in the Raleigh, NC area; any recommendations for a dealer with a large selection? Music & Arts or Sam Ashe don cut it. Thanks!

If you can drive about 2 1/2 hours, one really good flute dealer that's not too far from you is J.L. Smith in Charlotte, NC. They have a large selection of flutes that you can try by appointment. You can also deal with many other flute vendors by phone or internet. Most will ship you (for a fee) a flute to try in your home.

Azumi is a formidable brand in that price range. There are several other makers worth mentioning in that price range that she may or may not like better [Amadeus, Sonare, Trevor James, Lyric, Pearl, Resona, Yamaha, etc]. I'd take a drive out to JL Smith for sure if you're about to drop that kind of money on an intermediate flute.
