Yeah, I feel like this board was pretty active until this June or July...someone really needs to get the word out to the flute world about this board! I used to belong to a sax message board and there were just HUNDREDS of users who would post every day. It seems like there are quite a few registered users here, but nobody ever posts...
Haha, this one is my favorite:

Hey, everyone's practising!
I'm afraid of the second octave.
(Let's not even talk about the third...)

Umm, some of us are practicing. And rehearsing, performing, teaching, cooking, baking, decorating, and all those other obligations of December. Inviting your friends to read the board and post their thoughts is a great suggestion, but don't be offended by those us trying to hold it all together during the busy times of the year. :D Everybody's still out there, somewhere. Every area is different, but my students (certainly many others as well) are currently embroiled in the daily insanity of preparing for All-State band and orchestra auditions (beginning of January, right after Christmas break--eugh!), and then their Solo & Ensemble contest is just around the corner, February 5. Besides school and church obligations, if they're going to adequately prepare for such events, they'll need to be practicing 3-4 hours a day, at least. Then there's the matter of rehearsing with accompanists--arrrgh! This is a crazy coupla months in many parts of the country (world?). merry Christmas, everyone!!!!

Oh, I totally respect the fact that everyone has a lot to do and it's a busy time of year...but I just feel like I would be a little more compelled to post if we had a few more posters. The board is growing, but you have to admit that it's still a little slow around here. I spend a lot of my time on a greek messageboard and there are so many posters that there are new repsonses pretty much every minute! (Obviously, posting on a message board on Christmas eve is the last thing on most people's minds though...I'm just kinda bored right now.)

I still read the board everyday but my computer just doesn't seem to like this format  I have tons of trouble posting. Either it won't post to the subject I want to post to or it continually asks me to log in again and again. I have checked my cookies and security level and it should work and I don't have problems posting on any other sites..so I have been just reading for the time being :( I will have more time on my hands in the next few weeks so maybe I can figure out what the problem is or just have the time it takes to post a message or two.

LoL...I sure didn't expect this many posts when I first started this topic. =P Hehe, MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone! 2 days late but oh, what the heck. =) And a very early HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone too. =) I'm getting together with my friend later on today to try a flute/violin duet. >_< Don't know how that'll go...but I'll see. =)

I'm not sure how busy things usually are here. I'm new, and I've been out of town for the holidays. That's the majority of my membership time. As a matter of fact, that's the majority of my flute rental time as well. I'm so new, I'll have to improve to be a beginner.

Pandagirl, I clicked on your stories link, but couldn't get in. Is your site still up, and perhaps you've accidentally posted the wrong URL? I wouldn't mind reading your work.
