Hi everybody, i'm new to the site and also a complete beginner on the flute. I am only after purchasing on of those little yamaha fifes. I didn't want to invest in an expensive instrument that required maintenance before I knew I wouldn't give it up after a week or two. So, realistically, what are those little things able to achieve. Should i expect it to, after practice, to still sound like a piece of plastic. Or is it realistic for it to achieve a pleasant sound?
