Recently returned to piccolo, F# key not closing completely

Post by Greenidsurprise »

Hi, all! I recently bought an Armstrong piccolo off eBay from a music shop and while they said they had done a complete repair, my F# key isn’t closing completely. The pad almost creates the seal, but obviously not enough to produce consistency when playing the note. Is there anything I can do from home to repair this? I’ve attempted bending the key but it’s still not sealing. I’m not exactly made of money right now, so bringing it to another music shop is out of the question for now. Thank you!!

Send it back to the seller for repair.
