Dear flute land teacher: It is a common transversal flute, they
are made in china and the brand name is MONIQUE .They cost about 250 dollars.

If it is a regular flute and it works properly, it will be good
for quite a while, regardless of the brand. After maybe a couple of years, you
might think about a different one, if you feel that you have overgrown this one.
