Iwao Yokoyama is a former flutemaker for Muramatsu, but I've never played this brand. I can, however, report complete satisfaction with Muramatsu (mine and my students'). If the two brands are at all similar, I'd give it a shot.
I took this flute to a repair shop and the technician stated it seemed to be a quality student flute..nice key action, modern cut headjoint.
However, it is an inline G and my left hand is having trouble with the keys touching my first finger..it is very annoying to me!
My quest for finding a flute continues...
Well it's too bad you have to keep looking, but there's a flute out there for everyone, so sooner or later you're bound to find just the right one. Best of luck to you in the search!
