Im just curios, like am I talking to a perfesional in collage or some begginer in 5th grade. Me I'm in 7th grade 13 years old bean playing for about 2-3 years and my band teacher says I'm intermediat, so I'll listen to him...what about you?
I'm 19, though I'll be 20 in a little over a month. I'm working on a music degree in University right now, and I've been playing for about 8 years. I've been performing for much longer though, as I'm a pianist as well (which I've been doing for about 15-16 years now). Flute is more my passion though, so that's what I'm studying in school. : )
I am 39. Been playing flute for approximately 15years. Started out on Cello and Guitar at 7 years old, played professionally at 14. Now I play 30% Music, and 70% Engineering for income. Presently working in Japan. I play flute more often than guitar these days. I stopped playing cello 20 years ago.
I started in fourth grade, so I'm finishing up my fourth year. I feel really lucky to have started at such a young age. My mom didn't start playing until eigth grade.
I just turned 15 in July and i have been playing for five years (from fifth grade to tenth). I study with a private teacher and i made a local youth orchestra haha if any of that really matters. anyone else in 10th or 15?
I am 18, and a Flute Performance Major in college. I have been playing flute for 9 years or so. I have been playing piccolo for 4 years. I like picc the best. I have been repairing flutes and piccs for many years now (just minor stuff).
Turned 36 over the weekend, began playing in 1981 (!?!). Don't even say, "Geez, I wasn't born then!". As I'm relatively well-preserved, I hear that from incredulous teens quite a lot (they usually guess 22 ). I have a music ed degree (flute & bassoon), and most of a Masters. I play in two regional orchestras and sing in two good choirs, and play chamber music with my husband ('cellist). I suspect flute/band was the sole motive for many of us to go to school, LOL.
