Help with a gift for my Flute Teacher

Post by KSUFlautist06 »

Hello everyone in Fluteland! I am Kaitlyn and I am new here. I am getting ready to head off to college to study flute performace. I want to get my flute teacher that I have studied with for 7-8 years a gift that shows all my appreication. Does anyone have any ideas for a good gift? I would like the gift to be flute related. Please let me know if you have a idea! :D

I would check out fluteworld.com. They have some gifts. A gift certificate from Fluteworld or another company that carries music is a nice gift idea. Maybe something a little more personal? Try to compose a short simple piece for her. One of my students did this for me. Even though it was quite simple, I will always cherish it and play with great memories of her. Codamusic.com has a trial version of the Finale software that would work fine for something like that. If you don't feel like you can compose, what about a picture of the two of you in a nice frame?
Welcome, and good luck in college!

I would make her something. That's what I did for my director. I bought some sheet-music material and made her an eighth note with her name on it. It looked pretty cool. You could also put together a CD of you playing a special piece(s) that you learned from him/her. I'm not sure how you could record yourself, but it'd be cool to do. Good luck in college!
There is imperfection in everything around us. Embrace it! Love it! Care for it! God gave it to us! Have a lovely, imperfect day.
