All State HELP!!!

well, I hope someone here knows about the All State Band right??
well it turns out I made All State on the piccolo, but I also tried out on
flute. I thought that I had an awsome flute audition, and I made 2nd chair flute
last year, but no chair this year!! Im wondering if its because they wanted me
to play piccolo so they didnt put me as flute. I was told that you would be able
to choose if you made flute and piccolo by someone else. Maybe they were
wrong... please help me!!![:blackeye:] [:((]

It's really hard to say what happened. Maybe you were having a
bad flute day for the audition, or maybe you had a really tough judge. It's
also possible that you may have been one of only a few good piccolo players, and
one of many good flute players--therefore, they may have needed you more on pic.
The situation may have been different in the past, and maybe that's why other
people got to choose. It's hard to tell...but in any event, congratulations on
making it on piccolo! [:)] My All State audition is a week from today [:0] I'm
so nervous...
