I wonder if anyone knows of a good book with
good flute jazz combos or just jazz for the flute. I''ve yet to find some
music and my band director didn''t have any music for the flute, he''s not a
fan of the flutes though, arg! so if you could help me, I''d be very happy!!!

jazz music for the flute
Abby, check into bolling's jazz suite for
flute and piano. it's a lot of fun. the set is a little expensive it's $40 for
the flute, piano, bass, and drum parts. there are two suites. there's a really
famous recording of rampal playing flute and claude bolling on piano. bolling
also wrote jazz suites for other instruments as well, and are all quite
enjoyable, check out the recordings if you can. good luck!

Thanks, but I'm not sure whether I've got
$40 for it because, as a college student I'll need my $ and I don't have a job
right now[:((] so that makes life harder, heh. But I'll look into that flute
and piano piece and maybe I can con some piano player to pay for half, lol!
